Skype Duet is a performance happening simultaneously on Skype and live with the audience, a conversation between two human beings in words, movements, Chroma Key effects, and through the malleability (permeability) of the screen. Inspired by the idea of “virtual” as a trigger for emergent potentials, Emilie and Ryan are questioning the different spaces we inhabit and imagine, the possibility to navigate from one to the others and the connection of one body to another beyond the flattening of the luminous surface.
Skype Duet has been presented in France, in Mexico and in Montreal.
